Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was a flute, piano as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 1970s. Lennox was paid a stipend and did part-time jobs to help supplement her income. Lennox was not satisfied with the level of her skills compared to other students at the Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox began her career in the year 1976 in a band called Dragons Playground. But she quit prior to her group being invited to compete on I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. The singer was the primary singer in The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until 1980. The band was where she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they created their duo Eurythmics. Lennox started work with Diva in 1992. This was her debut solo album. Both commercially as well as critically the album was a massive hit. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was Released on October 31, 2014. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top blues, soul and jazz songs. Lepidoptera, a collection four piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. is an accompanying piece to her art installation at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... It's also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is an Scottish philanthropist political activist and singer-songwriter. The Tourists gained some minor recognition for her and Dave Stewart's work in the 1970s. They would go on, during the 80s, to become the popular duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo musical career in 1992 through an album titled Diva. It included a number of popular songs including Walking on Broken Glass and Why. Medusa an album from her studio, released in 1995, has the versions of a few of her most popular songs including the No MoreI I Still Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). Six studio albums by her solo, plus one compilation album are to her credit.
